GoodWire (goodwire.news) is a positive news aggregator based in the United Kingdom. We curate uplifting and constructive stories from around the world. For any privacy-related queries, contact us at hello@goodwire.news.

What data we collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide our service:

• Email address — if you subscribe to our newsletter. This is the only personal data we collect.
• Subscription status — whether your subscription is pending, confirmed, or unsubscribed.
• Subscription date — when you signed up and confirmed.

We do not collect names, addresses, payment information, or any other personal data.

Why we collect it

Your email address is collected solely to send you the GoodWire Weekly — a digest of the week's most uplifting stories, delivered every Sunday. We will never use your email for any other purpose.

The legal basis for processing your data is consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You provide this consent by completing the double opt-in confirmation process.

How we use your data

• To send you the weekly newsletter digest
• To send a one-time confirmation email when you subscribe
• To process unsubscribe requests

We do not:

• Sell your data to third parties
• Share your data with advertisers
• Use your data for profiling or automated decision-making
• Send marketing emails unrelated to GoodWire

Third-party services

We use Resend (resend.com) to deliver emails. Your email address is transmitted to Resend solely for this purpose. Resend is GDPR-compliant and processes data in accordance with their privacy policy.

We use Vercel Analytics to understand aggregate site traffic (page views, countries, devices). This does not collect personally identifiable information and does not use cookies.

Data retention

We retain your email address for as long as you are subscribed to GoodWire. If you unsubscribe, your record is marked as unsubscribed and permanently deleted within 30 days.

Your rights (GDPR)

As a UK or EU resident, you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Rectification — correct inaccurate data
• Erasure — request deletion of your data at any time
• Withdraw consent — unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email we send

GoodWire does not use tracking or advertising cookies. Vercel Analytics operates without cookies. No cookie consent banner is required.
